The Mon District Legal Services Authority (DLSA) held its undertrial review meeting at the district court building. The meeting was presided by Shri B. Peter Resu, Secretary, MDLSA, and was attended by Shri Bendang Ao, SDPO Mon; Smti Tshelhiu, EAC Mon HQ; Shri H. Bangwao Konyak, Superintendent of District Jail Mon; and Smti Angun Konyak, Panel Lawyer, MDLSA. During the meeting, it was reported that there are currently 38 Under Trial Prisoners (UTPs) and 30 Convicted Prisoners in the District Jail, Mon. The committee conducted a thorough review of the UTPs' records and recommended the release of 6 UTPs on bail. Additionally, the committee identified 2 UTPs who had been released on bail but were still in need of surety.
